Winter Wonderland - A Home Away From Home

Last week, my girlfriends and I decided to take a few days off work to have our own Winter Wonderland Getaway. It was the best idea ever! The drive was about 4 hours north towards Eagle Lake (North Bay). The entire ride was pretty fun and filled with great sceneries. It goes to show how beautiful and great Canada is. So grateful to call this land home.

This is actually a lake that's behind the cottage we stayed at. In the summer time, my girlfriend invited me over and I would paddle board and boat around etc. This time in the winter, it's all slushy, so we decided to go snowmobiling instead.

.... not without some selfies though, of course! =)

Snowmobiling is the absolute best! I love nature and this is one of the many reasons why I ADORE winter! There are so many activities to do and Canada as our backyard has so much to offer. If you hate winter, chances are, you live in the city hahah!

After a day of jam-packed fun, we came back with hat hair, wet gear and were welcomed again at this beautiful, cozy cottage. I couldn't stand my hat hair so I usually run to shower first thing. For this getaway, I brought along Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Shampoo and Conditioner.

I can feel my hair being softer with just one wash. My hair was beyond damaged after bleaching and dying it pink last October. Needless to say, our Canadian winters being dry, did not help at all and my hair was extremely brittle. My trick is to leave the conditioner in my hair (1-3 minutes) while I exfoliate my skin. I'm pretty impressed with the results I got from this combo - the coconut essence truly makes a difference to moisturize my hair.  My hair feels much smoother towards the ends and that's my major problem area.

By the way, the scent is incredible!

All clean and refreshed, here is a picture of my girlfriends and I enjoying some hot chocolate and mulled wine =)
