[SPARKLY LIST] 5 Current Travel Make Up Faves

Hello! Just returned from my epic vacation month (more blogging soon) and wanted to share with you some of the products I've been using to keep it simple and pretty for all the adventures I was having :)

COVERGIRL truBLEND Primer - Combination Skin
I brought this along with me as I figured my skin might react a bit. Travelling often poses many environmental challenge for our skin to adapt over a short period of time. Not before long, my skin was either flaking or it was having tiny oily pumps and even some breakouts - HEADACHE. I wasn't expecting a lot at first and so I used a dime-size as instructed but wow I'm shocked the moment I squeezed it out. It's a liquid lotion texture unlike other heavy silicon-based primers I was using. Goes on smoothly and makes my foundation and sunscreen stay without drying up/flaking. The staying power is impressive at around 4 to 6 hours with lot of sweat in hot Hawaii. I look forward to trying it out at work and see if it stays well in extreme dry environments.

It's probably excessive that I brought over 5 lip products to Honolulu however I couldn't narrow down to just one.  For a very long time, I've been hearing that these are very comparable to the Fresh Tinted Lip Treatment. There are similarities and also some differences, the pros and cons will really depend on how you justify it. I love that for a fraction of the price, these CoverGirl balms delivers me super moisturized lips. Along with that, a buildable tint which is forgiving even if I don't use a mirror (perfect for on the go when I'm moving around). The staying power isn't very strong though at about 1-2 hours so I have to reapply frequently. During hot Hawaii days with the sun scorching down my back, the bullet does not melt inside the tube.  Fave out of the bunch is: Jelly. ps, omg, they smell so good!!

COVERGIRL truNAKED EYE SHADOW PALETTE
OMG, I absolutely love this palette.... perfect pigmentation, great mixes of matte and shimmer shades, very easy to blend.  To be honest, I've been in love with tiny neutral colour eye palettes because they are perfect for travelling for work and for vacation. This one here has 8 shades at a price of about $13 CAD (Walmart). I brought this one with me instead of my trusty Solone Fantasy Wonderland Eyeshadow Kit because I needed warmer tones and matte shades. I don't really own any high-end crazy expensive big-size palettes because I know I won't reach for it. So to know that this does that job of those in that range, I'm very impressed.

COVERGIRL truBLEND Blush and Bronzer

COVERGIRL truBLEND Blush - Medium Rose

This was the only blush I brought over to Hawaii without even testing it out with swatches .... kinda like going in blind - I wasn't even sure if it will suit me. I'm a sucker for anything coral/pink so I always feel that these colours would fit my skin tone so I went with it. Thankfully it did. The truBlend Blush collection is of a baked formula which implies that it is buildable, easy to blend and pigmentation is amplified when wet - and it delivered. The pigmentation for this blush met my expectations with a brush, I was able to build the colour according to the look. I definitely enjoy having more control with cheek products. Medium Pink is a shade that would suit most skin tones unless you belong to the very pale or very dark end of the spectrum.

COVERGIRL truBLEND Bronzer

I'm super thankful I decided to bring this product with me because my face was reacting and swelled up slightly. I used this everyday for contouring my jaws and cheeks. I used my contour brush to pick up the colour and tap the brush before applying it to my face. I tend to have a heavy hand so I don't want a blob of brown against my very pale face. After tapping off, I work my way.  Similar to the bush above, this bronze is also of a baked formula. I'm impressed that a little goes a long way and it was very easy to blend. This is like a secret weapon - you don't even know that it's there in my photos haha!
