Comparison to the Naked & Naked 2 Palette
Naked Palette - $50 USD / $60 CAD - 12 shades (Same size) + Eyeshadow Primer Potion: 0.13 fl oz
Naked 2 Palette -  $50 USD / $60 CAD - 12 shades (Same size) + Brush + Lip Gloss 0.11 fl oz

So I finally pitched in to try a palette from the Naked series. Can you believe it? I still never purchased the original Naked and Naked 2 palette regardless of the raves. I don't easily get moved by peer pressure LOL *biggest lie ever* okay, real reason: I'm not a neutral colours kind of girl so it just never interested me.

I purchased this because it's new and I just wanted to experience what this is all about. I didn't even read/watch ANY reviews on this, so I have no clue what this one have inside. Literally walked into sephora, picked it up and paid. For the love of this blog, geez! hahah! I created a few neutral looks with the palette just to test it out but it's really not my appeal. Regardless, here are some thoughts.

Found out when I got home, that Crave was already swatched =/

The package feels like NARS and it's very compact. It is different from the Naked 1 and 2 palette where one was tin and the other was velvety. I think this is great for travelling or fitting it just right in your make up bag.

In my opinion, there are 5 matte colours and 1 that is a satin finish. I think that it's great to have the matte colours since those are essentials however, it truly depends of your preference. For me, mattes are extremely boring for me. In my collection, I rarely noticed any small 2-6 colour palettes have these shades - namely the matte colours. I'm guessing, that most drugstore brands usually do not put in too many matte shades in their palettes also so this makes the palette quite worth it.

Urban Decay Naked Basic Palette

If your collection consist of the 28 neutral palette or the 88 neutral palette from BH, eBay, Costal Scents etc etc, then don't even bother with this palette because I can find dupes very very easily. (I have both those palettes)

If you don't own many neutral colours, or most of your browns are shimmer, this is perfect for you.

Urban Decay Naked Basic Palette: Venus, Foxy, Walk of Shame, Naked 2, Faint, Crave

Pigmentation is fairly good considering they are matte shades (usually mattes are harder to get them to be pigmented). I did find that Foxy and Walk of Shame were pretty close to my skin colour (one yellow toned, one is pink toned) so I almost feel like maybe I can dupe those with face powders haha! Venus was the easiest to dupe, I have so many of these pearl white-ish colours. Naked 2 and Faint were harder to find in my collection and Crave is quite an essential colour to have.

Finally price wise, I did a comparison above. I don't think this palette is worth it compared to the other palettes. However, if you're willing to pay a few bucks more for a matte palette, then I guess that would be a good justification.

Last note: this palette truly depends on your preference and usage. This palette definitely isn't for me, however it may be for you :)

Overall: ♥♥♥
