Review:
If you know anything about Asian beauty products, you must've heard about My Beauty Diary face masks. The brand is SUPER famous for their affordable and cute sheet masks that provides just the right amount of effectiveness for your skin. A few years ago they started spreading their horizons to other beauty products such as lotions, mists and facial wash and so on. This is the first product I tried outside of their face masks line and let's just say.. not comparable to their sheet masks.

Comes in a cute little pink jar with a spatula. Good job on the details, spatulas are very inexpensive, I don't understand why companies just won't include them! You're to wet your face, take a pea size and then lather up then wash your face. I find that if I used the described method, it doesn't get very foamy. Instead I like to use a foam ball or my Clarisonic with this product to do the job.

Although this product is supposed to be a mild cleanser, my face was extremely dried out afterwards. Mild cleanser it is, I think it only did a fair cleaning job. Of course, this is not a make up remover so don't use it to wash your entire face off. In fact, I think this is a wonderful cleanser if you plan on using it solely with other cleaning tools like the Clarisonic or Silicon Cleansing Pads. (See, the main character of this skincare step is not the product)

The pink little beads are supposed to be exfoliating beads which are entirely useless in my definition and thus I feel that you can use this cleanser daily. It contains strawberry extract, yogurt amino acid and soy protein which to be seems typical because a lot of Asian skincare consists of these ingredients. In particular, amino acid helps to stimulate collagen which will make your skin firmer. This, however, I did not feel any skin firming on my face.

In conclusion, I feel that this cleanser is just like any basic drugstore cleanser. You're not missing out without it. For $65HKD ($10-12 USD), I feel that I got ripped off. I can easily get a very basic cleanser for $25HKD. For that amount of money, I might as well buy a few more boxes of their sheet masks instead of drying out my already dry and soon non-firming skin.

ps, it smells nothing like a fruity strawberry yogurt. More like, a very chemical, plasticy cleanser.

Just to be fair, I may recommend this to younger oily skin girls/boys as it may work well as a basic mild cleanser. It just would not work for me because I live in a dry country, I have dry skin, and I'm getting older and my skin has greater needs. I now use this as a feet soap - weird habit - I clean my feet the second I get home if I didn't bring guests with me. Makes me feel super comfy and clean and *ohh-ahh-yes* around my home.
