L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Miracle Blur

Review:
This is the 2nd primer I tried by L'Oreal Paris, the first was the Magic Perfecting Base by Studio Secrets (hopefully I'll review that soon as well). Although, this product has been advertised as a skin care product as well but I only use this as a make up product because I haven't seen the slightest improvements in regards to long term benefits.

Due to some of the packaging regulations in Canada (ex/ sunscreen abilities can't mix with wrinkle prevention abilities), the product's claims are less than that of their ingredient's effectiveness. The Canada formula has UV filters but L'Oreal will not specify that it contains "sunscreen" abilities on its packaging and marketing materials due to the Canadian guidelines. That being said, I decided to do a bit of research into the ingredients.

The following ingredients carries the ability of a sunscreen, to prevent sunburn/sun damage:
HOMOSALATE, BENZOPHENONE-3, OCTOCRYLENE

In the US, you can easily find sunscreen abilities being advertised in the their commercials for this same product. Also, since my product is an US press sample, the label in the back clearly states all the abilities of the sunscreen such as preventing sun damage. Therefore, there are sun protection elements in this product but I do not know how much SPF it may be able to provide. This is why I only use this during the day and I try to avoid using it at night in case I have to take flash photos and look like a white ghost.

Note: it has a strong sunscreen scent the movement you squeeze the product out. I really hate the smell of sunscreen so this really turned me off.

The packaging is in a squeeze tube with a flip tab. It can get a little difficult to squeeze out the product when you get through half of it. The product itself is a cushiony texture which you would need to warm up/play around before it will melt/blend into your skin. If you squeeze out a little bit at a time to apply, it can make easier to apply. When you squeeze a huge amount to apply to one area, it takes more pressure to blend and I find that it is too much harsh movements for the skin which can damage the elasticity of your skin.

As a primer, I think this is an excellent product, it really does blur out my fine lines and pores instantly. I like to let it sit a bit before applying any foundation products on my face, it lets my face products stay longer and it creates a flawless canvas for a perfect make up application. As you can see from my swatch, the blurring element is honestly as good as high end products!

Finally the price element, it is quite steep for a drugstore brand. Since the anti-aging benefits did not work for me (trust me, I know I have fine lines and wrinkles), for just the sun protection and the primer; I would much rather use the Magic Perfecting Base by Studio Secrets instead for approximately $6-$15 depending where you purchase it.
