I received this item from the Toronto Beauty Bloggers Meet Up goodie bag.

I'm quite excited to have received this in the goodie bag mentioned above. It has been muttered over the beauty blogging world that it could be a possible dupe for the Lancome Genefique Serum. The texture of both serums are very very similar. I tested out the Genefique's texture at the duty free shop when I was at the airport. Both are silky, close to clear, and like fluid-gel. A better description should be: you know those leftover essence you get from sheet masks (ie, My Beauty Diary)? It's basically exactly that texture.

It is quickly absorbed by the skin, so fast that I applied way more than the instructed 2-3 drops. When I first applied 2-3 drops, my skin absorbed so fast that I felt like nothing was done to it. With about 7-8 drops each time for application, I did see the immediate results as described by the product: visibly smoother and deeply hydrated. Honestly though, if i use like 7-8 drops, my skin better be hydrated.

After 1 week of use, I did not see any of the described: "facial features look rested, face radiates from within" At this point I was getting quite disappointed. As much as I wanted to get to the 4 weeks results, the bottle did not last this long. I finished the whole bottle within 13 days. For $24 (if I were to pay), a serum that only lasted 13 days and no results what-so-ever, I would be frustrated.

Onto the packaging, it has a twisting pump top that locks and no cap. It doesn't have the drip-drop cap that genefique has. It is also a plastic bottle not as luxurious as the lancome one. The scent of the serum itself is not overpowering and pretty. Not bothersome.

To sum up, this is not a product I recommend. Barely any visible results other than hydration which, doesn't last more than 2 hours. No anti-aging results either. Super disappointed.

Overall: ♥
Product: 0/5 ♥ I had great hopes as the box packaging mentions so many "results" but after my experience.. enough said.
Packaging: 4/5 ♥ Simple and suitable for the brand.
Price: 2/5 ♥ I would suppose $24 for a serum is somewhat reasonable, but considering it shows no results, then no it's not a good price even if its $5.
