The Opening for the Old Packaging.

I purchased mine at the Shiseido Warehouse Sale. It was a older formula and packaging. I made sure it was not expired, of course.
It was 100ml/3.3 fl. oz $30CAD plus tax. Original Retail price for this size is $54USD
You can still find the old packaging on Amazon.

New Formula/Packaging Price: 75ml/2.5 fl. oz $ 59.50USD

The texture remains the same between the new and old packaging/formulations.

I'm a strong believer of finding the right skincare line for the age of your skin. Shiseido's White Lucent line is catered to females aged 19-25 where skin begin to slowly dull out and dark spots slowly appears. On top of that, I'm obessed with brightening or whitening effects so I know White Lucent is perfect for me. =)

Let's start with the packaging, the one I have is the old one and I don't like it because I dont like the whole idea of pouring it out. Shiseido changed this now to a sophisicated pump bottle but also made it smaller (100ml to 75ml) One thing didn't change is that, I still can't see how much product I have used in both packaging. There's a scent and its not overpowering, I can't describe the scent, its not florals or fruits. It is relaxing though.

The texture is not too thin or too thick as an emulsion (lotion). It's thinner than cream but thicker than serums and gel. It's fast absorbing and not sticky. I have read reviews say that it is sticky, I think this is the case when one used too much or when one did not massage it onto the skin. Otherwise, I find my skin feeling soft and moisturized immediately. The residue bit of stickiness is gone within 5 minutes, it does get absorbed.

I use this as a day and night moisturizer but as spring and summer approached, I invested into a moisturizer + SPF (to be reviewed) instead. So now, I only use this as summer night moisturizer. I think it did little and close to none to my dark spots around the chin but I did notice that my skin is brighter or lightened (I got paler). Of course, this is not overnight or can be seen within one week. I do notice the difference after about 3 weeks. I also noticed I have a healthy glow when I wake up in the morning, love that!

Finally the price, I think that it is rather expensive for a moisturizer to cost close to $60CAD to see results after about 30days. I would expect it to work like 14 days to see some brightening results. However, it does come is a fairly good size of 100ml (now 75ml) as this can last me almost 6-8months.

Overall: ♥♥♥♥
Product: 4/5 ♥ Great overall, no results to lightening dark spots
Packaging: 3/5 ♥ Hate the opening, and can't see how much I used up
Price: 4/5 ♥ Retail price is steep, warehouse price is about just.
