Shipping Info:
All of the Lip Balms I ordered were qualified as "SAMPLES" which means I can have reduced shipping rates. It basically means that I ordered a few to "try" so it's considered a very small order. Their shipping rates is based on the Weight. Here is the estimation:
USA: 1 tube= $1.75 up to 9 tubes= $4.50
CANADA: 1 tube= $1.75 up to 9 tubes= $6.50
INTERNATIONAL: 1 tube= $2.50 up to 9 tubes= $8.00

The company does Large quantity orders as well for example, corporate parties, fundraising, birthday parties etc. For more info, you can take a look here.

So in total, I paid $3 + $3 + $3.50 + $3.50= $13 + $3 sample shipping = $16 USD. Along with that I received 3 Lip Balms for review purposes. I think it's overall affordable and it was a pretty quick process altogether so I'm really happy about it.

My boyfriend really liked it because it's customized and even when he use it in front of his friends, it's not, um embarrassing, since he can brag about it HAHA. **I'm such a caring girfriend** shameless. LOL We had fun with these and he also like the flavours I picked. You can find the flavours by going here.

I love volunteering and doing things for charity purposes. I picked the BunnyLuv because it's the Year of the Bunny =) and I picked Go Green because I feel that humans are almost like destroying our own home. So yes, I really really really like the whole Charitabalm collection. It's buying cute lipbalms with a purpose. I don't feel so guilty spending money on it. My only concern is that whether the money has actually been donated. I haven't seen any proof just yet. Maybe they might post it in the future.

One thing that upsets me about these lipbalms is that when I put them in my purse or in my boyfriend's case, his pocket, the labels get scratched. The lipbalms mentioned in this post doesn't have a plastic wrapper like the ones sponsored. See photo below:
These sponsored ones has a wrapper and that protected the label from being scratched. There's also a wrapper right at the lid as well. While the ones I purchased, didn't have the wrapper. Our Loveabalms are getting a little ugly now =(

Lastly, the ones I purchased, to open, you need to twist and turn. I didn't really like this because I noticed that I was twisting the label too as I open. What I did was, I ended up pulling it outwards REALLY hard to break the dotted line so that my label wont get twisted or rip into the photo. Since the company seem to be really good-hearted, I can only come up with one reason behind this: less plastic wrapper = better for our earth. I truly don't think this has anything to do with the cost. =P

PS, I noticed that at the bottom of all the tubes, there's a recycle symbol! I never see this on any EOS or Blistex lip balms! I really like that :)

If you are interested in how these lip balms worked on me, please refer to this review here. I didn't want to be repetitive in this post :)

Update: March 25, 2011
Brea of has kindly replied in regards to my concerns and some of my readers' concerns about the amount donated to Charities. I will copy and paste her reply here:
"for the charitabalms I understand there really isn't a way to "prove" we donate the $ raised but -- we have actual business contracts with each of the charities and most of them list on their website that we are an official business partner - meaning we do donate to them - otherwise we wouldn't be partner. Then typically we post at the beginning of the new year how much we raised for that program for the previous year at our store website in the new section.
its not a huge selling program because although you and a few other earth and animal lovers are willing to pay .50 more for this balm - not everyone is so giving/caring. So we sell only about 350 tubes a year. I actually just finished up our taxes and for 2010 and the charitabalms program donation was $471.00 - so we sold 314 tubes - all charitabalm programs combined."
